DAL Property Development Company Limited ('DPDC') started in 1988 as a construction department within the DAL Group, providing services to meet Group needs in architectural design, construction and facilities maintenance.
The Power Plants in Asalaya and Alrahad were among the early external projects completed. When the Group started its operations in the industrial sector, the Construction Department was the pioneer in the design and construction of high standard industrial premises including:
-
SAYGA Flour Mills buildings and facilities
in Khartoum North and Port Sudan
- Blue Nile Dairy Company factory and offices
- DAL Food Industries plant, office, warehouse
and administration buildings
- DAL Motors showroom, offices and workshop
- Sutrac offices and workshop
- DAL Group head office
- DAL Lecture Hall - Khartoum University
- The VIP Lounge at Khartoum Airport
- OZONE Caf' in Khartoum
- Khartoum International Community School buildings
The transformation of the Construction Department into a fully-fledged property development company was a result of the DAL Group strategy review in 2004 which defined DPDC's objective as becoming the market leader in the Real Estate and Property Development sectors.
