In 2013, Coca Cola employees visited various neighborhoods in Khartoum, distributing a total of 10,000 basic food product boxes during the month of Ramadan through door to door visits. During Eid, Coca Cola went to the Soba Childrens’ Hospital to distribute small gifts to the children to cheer them up and put a smile on their faces.
In 2002, DAL Food Industries became the sole bottler and distributor of The Coca-Cola Company brands in the Sudan and the industry-leader in beverage production nationwide. DFI’s advanced-design beverage plant in Khartoum North extends over a 15-acre plot and utilises the latest global best-in-class technologies and production methods. It is one of the most modern and highly advanced of all Coca-Cola bottling plants across the African continent and the Middle East, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
In a very short time, DFI grew from zero market-share to being a leading player. This unprecedented achievement in the industry was only the beginning of what was anticipated. Rio is a Sudanese brand created and owned by DAL Food. It was launched as a juice brand in 2014 to great fanfare and has recently been extended from 3 flavours to 5 to bring the traditional local tastes of Tabaldi and Karkadeh to the Sudanese people.

In 2014, DAL Food entered the packed juice market with the launch of an all new juice product that complements its beverage portfolio. It was launched with three flavours; Mango, Pineapple & Guava, and bottled in 330ml PET & 250ml glass bottles. It is now also available in a 1 litre Tetrabrick carton, created for those who seek an indulging juice experience at home.
In 2016, Rio introduced two new traditional flavors which took the market by storm, making it one of the most desired locally bottled drinks in the market. Rio will continue to pursue new traditional and other fruit flavours to satisfy our customers’ needs.
