A new addition to the DAL Food trophy cabinet has arrived:

On the 24th of April, DAL’s social initiatives were recognized by the prestigious Arab Society for Social Responsibility and Zayid Al Ataa Initiative at a ceremony sponsored by the Minister of Labour and Social Development in Bahrain. We were awarded the Arab Social Responsibility Pioneer Award for our various social contributions.

Although it was the Baking Development Centre that made the Arab Social Responsibility Network and the Zayid Al Ataa initiative notice DAL’s initiatives back in 2010, they were impressed by all of the sustainable projects that empower communities taking place across DAL Food and the Group.

This year’s annual ceremony was the fourth onewhere DAL Food along with ARAMCO – KSA join the famous previous winners, namely Alwaleed Ibn Talal and Queen Rania Abdallah.

Some of the other initiatives that DAL Food has been recognize for include:-

*The Stevie prize in 2009, received by DAL Dairy for their great customer engagement and creative marketing

*The International Society for Mills awarded Sayga Investment Company an award in 2009 for improving health and safety at work.

*In 2010, the Baking Development Center received the Best Project award from the Arab Social Responsibility network and the UN Global Compact in the UAE.

*The Nobo plant was the first in Sudan to receive the HACCP certificate (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)

A huge congratulation goes out to the DAL Food family and staff for these great accomplishments, as none of this would have been possible without the continuous support and endless efforts from the various departments.
