OHSE Policy

At DAL Food, our management is fully committed to achieving excellence in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment across all our operations. We lead by example, allocating the necessary resources, and integrate OHSE into our business strategy to protect our employees, contractors, visitors, communities, and the environment.

We pledge to:

  • Comply with all applicable Sudanese laws, international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and the requirements of our lenders, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group (WBG), and African Development Bank (AfDB).
  • Identify and control workplace hazards, including those related to machinery, utilities, boilers, ammonia chillers, diesel generators and tanks, chemicals, dust explosion, microbiological and allergen risks, thermal hazards, noise, and more.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture, encourage reporting, and empower everyone to stop unsafe work.
  • Foster environmental stewardship by minimizing emissions, waste, and our carbon footprint.
  • Recognize outstanding OHSE contributions through our “OHSE Hero of the Month” program.
  • Ensure contractors and suppliers meet our OHSE standards and requirements.
  • Continuously improve our OHSE performance through training, audits, and management reviews.
  • Uphold and enforce our Life-Saving Rules to prevent serious injuries and fatalities.
  • Set and monitor clear OHSE objectives and KPIs, as outlined in our OHSE Master Plan.
  • Ensure open consultation and participation at all levels, valuing input from employees, contractors, and stakeholders in shaping our OHSE practices.

Every individual at DAL Food shares responsibility for upholding these values. Together, we work towards our goal: Zero Harm.

Prevent Today, Protect Tomorrow.
