Sudanese Liquid Air (SLA) is the foremost manufacturer and distributor of medical and industrial gases in Sudan. We offer innovative solutions through constantly enhanced technologies to produce air gases: oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and chemical gases: acetylene, nitrous oxide.
SLA pioneers the use of liquid air in the industrial and medical sectors in Sudan. It manufactures industrial and medical gases and also supplies many other gases, gas mixtures and special gases needed by customers. Today, it has more than ten sales locations within Sudan, supplying more than 10,000 customers across various countries and industries, and is the driving force behind another major industry shift – the conversion of commercial gases into liquid form.

Sudanese Liquid Air Co. Ltd. or ‘SLA’ was established in 1949 as L’Air Liquide-Soudan, a branch of the French company L’Air Liquide. In 1964 L’Air Liquide-Soudan was converted into a Sudanese company and renamed Sudanese Liquid Air Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of L’Air Liquide, Paris. In 1998 SLA became a subsidiary of DAL Group.
A few years later SLA was awarded ISO status, which was recently renewed to reflect the latest certification, ISO 9001:2008. Later in 2006, SLA launched the only specialized Centre offering the provision of welding and cutting materials, as well as solutions.
In 2009 SLA launched a state-of-the-art Centre for all firefighting systems and fire extinguishers and In 2011, continuing our development efforts in manufacturing gases, we pioneered liquid gases into the Sudanese market with the introduction of 2,000m3/hr air separation units (ASU). Air separation units use specialist machinery and industrial processes to separate atmospheric air into its primary components

It also offers innovative solutions to produce air (oxygen, nitrogen, argon) and chemical (acetylene, nitrous oxide) gases through its consistently enhanced technologies.

SLA has the only specialized welding Centre in Sudan offering the provision of welding and cutting materials, as well as solutions. SLA offers a complete line of products for MIG, TIG, MMA and SAW welding equipment plus all the filler metals – from cored wires to covered electrodes – required to complete the job. It also specializes in cutting and flame equipment and offer a full range from small handheld plasma units and cutting torches to large cutters used for thick materials in addition to a wide range of chemical solutions.
